!#@%&? Rules ?&%@#!
The "Fine Print"...
Mannaheim Mid-Atlantic has *no* Charter!
Generally, if Members hold fast to (and guests read) the guidelines contained within this website, there should be few misunderstandings.
If a Member or Guest seems to have difficulty treating other members or their guests equally or with respect, then, that individual may be encouraged to take an indefinite leave of absence. When all else fails, "Home Rule" applies. "In our home(s)/camp(s), you follow our rules."
We welcome all Members and their guests to participate as they desire in the Crafting of our Rituals. We believe that the diversity of individual modes of worship and beliefs are what makes us strong.
We Advocate Responsible Alcohol Use
and
Prohibit Under-Aged Drinking
and
Prohibit Under-Aged Drinking
While mead and ale both play an important part in some of our rituals, we encourage our members and guests to drink responsibly. We prefer that the focus of our Blots and feasts be on the people, the children, and communing with the gods by sharing food and drink. For children attending our Blots, they may drink from the ritual drinking horn only in the presence of their parent(s).
Older teens who attend our Blots, in the absence of their parents, may not drink alcohol at our Blots. They must also discuss Blot attendance with their parents and us before visiting the first time. Rather than drinking from the horn after a toast, it is perfectly acceptable to kiss the drinking horn and pass it to the next person.
Also, for the sake of people who may have compromised immune systems, we ask that if you have a contagious condition that you refrain from communal drinking until you are well.
~We adhere to a "Tribal Mentality"~
Mannaheim Mid-Atlantic is a Tribal Organization. Individual members and their families are viewed as "Hearths", e.g., sovereign entities. Privacy of the individual and that of their Families, Hearths, Covens and Kindreds is deeply respected.
We adhere to what is commonly referred to as a “Tribal Values” Paradigm, values originating with “biological cultures” who actively sought to survive every day. This is an expanded list of what is generally found in the Eddas, The Nine Noble Virtues, as well as the Norse Tradition of Frith-Keeping.
